Important note to readers of Lab Dynamics 3rd ed.

The interview guides and score sheets in the 3rd edition of Lab Dynamics contain an entry called “Fit with the group” (checklist item 6) in both the face to face interview and team members interviews. In these new downloadable score sheets we have replaced this entry with “Adds diversity.” The interview guide elaborates: “Does the candidate add diversity to your group? Diversity here is defined in its broadest sense – background, experience, gender, race, ethnicity.” We believe that this substitution adds an important evaluation criterion to candidate selection and encourage readers to use these new forms.
